Life in Solution began as an arrangement of dried flowers suspended in oil and photographed at close range. Within the oil, petals, seeds and fibres overlap and merge, transforming a simple still life into an almost abstract field of golden organic forms.
The work explores a recurring idea in my art: that living things are shaped not only by their individual forms, but by the relationships between them. Boundaries soften, spaces become visible, and separate elements appear to participate in something larger than themselves.
